On Saturday night, a student shot himself dead in Madhuri Chowk Road No. 10 Mohalla in Samastipur city. He was identified as Aman Srivastava (23), son of Ajay Srivastava. On receiving the information of the incident, the city police reached the spot and started investigation. The police also recovered a country-made pistol. It is being told that the student had shot himself in the temple. The police seized the body and sent it to Sadar Hospital for postmortem.
Father Ajay Srivastava told that his shop is at Madhuri Chowk. He was at his shop. His wife was alone at home and his elder son had also gone out somewhere. After closing the shop, he returned home at night. Construction work is going on on the roof of his house. Centering was done on top. He went to see it. He saw that the room upstairs was open. When he extended his foot to close the room, his foot touched his son’s foot lying on the ground. However, it was very dark there so he could not see. After this, he went down again and again went upstairs with other family members with a light and saw that Aman’s body was lying soaked in blood. He had died.

Ajay Srivastava told that his son was preparing for SSC. Along with this, he was also doing D.El.Ed from Pusa. However, he was not getting success in competitive exams. Family members say that Aman rarely went out of the house and he had very few friends. According to his father, Aman never told that he was depressed or facing any problem. The room in which the body was lying has been immediately sealed by the police. The FSL team has also been called. It is believed that Aman was a victim of depression due to not getting success in competitive exams and he committed suicide.

City police station chief Ashutosh Kumar said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, a team under his leadership reached the spot and inspected the scene. The case seems to be of suicide. The family members say that the youth was preparing for SSC. The matter is being investigated. Further action is underway.
